Over the past decade, Google has clearly made its mark on the search engine industry-- and over recent years, with its dynamic, useful web tools, Google has become a leading player in online marketing and advertising.

Google AdWords in particular is a very successful a Pay-per-Click (PPC) program that allows advertisers to create ads and have them displayed on the right hand of the Google search engine when certain keywords are entered by a user. Google AdWords also integrates with Google affiliate websites through their Google AdSense program.

A few weeks ago, ecommerce-guide.com reported that AdWords Editor 7.0 is ready, willing, and eager to help advertisers and site owners streamline their AdWords campaigns.

Google launched AdWords Editor 6.5 just two months ago, but already they are rolling out new features and enhancements with AdWords Editor 7.0. The new version allows users to download their account to their desktop, use a variety of tools to modify their campaign, and upload their new campaigns to the AdWords database.

According to ecommerce-guide.com, AdWords Editor 7.0 boasts a variety of new features including:

  • First page bid estimates: First page bid estimates for keywords, and not minimum cost-per-click bids, now take priority in campaigns.
  • Keyword Quality Score: A Keywords tab features each keyword in your campaign as well as its Quality Score
  • Keyword Opportunities locale: Keyword suggestions can now be filtered and specified by language and location
  • Campaign Targeting in the Data View: Track your targeting settings in specific new ‘Language' and ‘Location' columns
  • Absolute Versus Scaled Values: The Keyword tab now features a ‘Volume' column, which displays last month's traffic (absolute numbers) as opposed to scaled values

There are several other features not mentioned here, so for more information, check out the AdWords Editor webpage!
