A couple of weeks ago, I watched the awesome, albeit long, Google Wave demo graciously provided by, well, Google. Now that's an hour and twenty minutes well-spent! I really encourage you to saddle up, lay back, and watch the Google Wave demo.
The folks here at Hudson Horizons are extremely excited to work with the Google Wave platform when it goes live. In my opinion, it will absolutely revolutionize the way our company and countless others to connect and collaborate.
Here's a peek at some of the features outlined in the demo that I find positively inspiring:
- Real-time chat in a wave (think of a wave as an email...on steroids)
- The ability to add new people to wave conversations
- Drag-drop functionality to move images into a wave
- The ability to implement a blogger into a wave The ability to import wave conversations into blogger API
- A comprehensive playback feature that shows message alterations in succession a.k.a. a moveable timeline of a wave's history, displaying all changes made to a wave
- The ability to collaborate and edit a wave in real-time, while all other parties connected watch your edits appear... in real-time
- Highlighted modifications accompanied by a ticker that notes who contributed to the content
There's loads more in this Google Wave demo that's, well, applause-worthy - again, I highly recommend you check it out if you have time to spare. It will be launched in it's live splendor later this year - and here at Hudson Horizons, it won't be a minute to soon!
