Bing statistics show it's still climbing

On Wednesday, Doug Caverly reported with WebProNews.com that Microsoft's spankin' new search engine, Bing, is, according to Caverly, "starting to look somewhat like the Energizer Bunny."

At first, it seemed as if Bing was soaring sky high. Then, suddenly, Bing was down, sinking beneath struggling search engine, Yahoo!. Now, recent statistics show that Bing is "going and going (up)" in the areas of click shares and brand recognition.

Efficient Frontier shows that "Bing {has}expanded its share of paid clicks for the two weeks post launch. Bing's share of paid clicks is up 13% for the second week post launch as compared to pre-launch. And, it represents an incremental 5% lift over the first week."

Caverly suggests that "If this trend continues, Bing may soon start receiving a lot more attention from advertisers."

Many of us consider "Google" a household name. If the stasts are true, then Bing is "just a month or two away from catching up" to Google stature - and to the 55% brand recognition it racks up.
