Our company is currently in the process of re-branding our logo. Along with our in-house design team and social media specialist, I have been brainstorming new logo ideas in addition to researching what constitutes a successful re-brand.  During this process, we have remained conscious of the dilemma re-branding can create: as we move forward, we want to re-brand our business as a Web 2.0 driven Web Company, but we also want to keep integral features of our brand that have successfully distinguished us over the past six years.

One of our designers came across a valuable post discussing 33 Re-Branded Logos from 2008. If you scroll down the page, you will see some popular company names that have re-branded their logos in 2008.  Some of these companies incorporated subtle logo changes, but you will notice that others have completely transformed their brand identity.

Check back for more updates, as I will continue to share our progress with the Hudson Horizon company logo re-branding process.

Nice link to the 33 re-brands of 2008. I was taking a look and honestly I'm amazed. Walmart! Are you kidding me, I didn't even remember the companies old logo until I saw it. Its amazing how a subtle but "CORRECT" change can be so subliminal.

I do have to admit I just saw the biggest design change in the world, tropicana oj. Take a look at the next time your in the food store. They made a grave mistake. They lost that brand recognition.
